Yumi Hayashi of Nippon Ishin (Japan Innovation Party) is set to win the House of Representatives by-election in Wakayama Constituency No. 1 on Sunday.
The 41-year-old is certain to take the seat previously held by Shuhei Kishimoto, who resigned to run for the Wakayama gubernational election and is now the governor.
