Milano Cortina 2026: Japan’s Kaori Sakamoto Wins Silver; Ami Nakai Secures Bronze in Women’s Single Figure Skating

MILAN — Japan’s figure skater Kaori Sakamoto won silver in women’s single figure skating on Thursday at the Milano Cortina Olympics. Japan’s Ami Nakai who led the women’s short program secured bronze, followed by Japan’s Mone Chiba who placed fourth.
With these metals, Japan’s athletes won their 100th overall medal at the Winter Olympics.
Alysa Liu of the United States won gold in the women’s event.
