A child rides his toy car in front of a mountain of abandoned cars in Irpin, near Kyiv. Most of the nearly 100 cars stacked in the corner of a parking lot were badly damaged during the Russian invasion. They were heavily charred and missing windows, with machine gun bullets holes peppering the cars’ sides like polka dots.
