Japan’s Nikkei Share Average Down 97.74 Points Monday after Rising by More Than 500 in Morning (Update 1)

The Nikkei share average was down 97.74 points to 31,759.88 at closing on Monday, after rising by more than 500 points in the morning from Friday’s closing at 31,857.62.

The benchmark hovered above 32,000 on Monday morning.
