Sniffing out the future

Fuhin, a female giant panda, sniffs an ice sculpture heralding the New Year in an outdoor exercise zone at the Adventure World amusement park in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture, on Monday. Fuhin, who turned 1 year old on Nov. 22, was given the sculpture along with a kadomatsu New Year ornament made of bamboo. She appeared to enjoy playing with the gifts.
