Children play in a public bath facility in Ogose, Saitama Prefecture, enjoying the refreshing scent of yuzuyu, or a hot bath with yuzu floating in it, on the winter solstice on Wednesday. Aiming to have the most amount of the citrus fruit in a bath, the facility procured 2,100 katsuragi yuzu, the specialty of Moroyama in the prefecture. “The scent was heavenly, which was relaxing,” said a 37-year-old woman from Sakado in the prefecture, who came to the facility with her family. “I think I’ll be able to stay healthy this winter.”
