OSAKA (Jiji Press) — Japanese low-cost carrier Peach Aviation will resume international flights from August, starting with its route linking Osaka Prefecture and Incheon, near Seoul, it was learned Monday.
The Osaka-based airline will resume international flights after a 16-month suspension since April 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
From Aug. 28, six round-trip flights will be operated every week between Kansai International Airport and South Korea’s Incheon International Airport. Ticket sales will start at the end of June.
Peach Aviation plans to reopen other international routes, including the one linking Tokyo International Airport at Haneda with Taipei, in stages.
The unit of ANA Holdings Inc. suspended all its international flights in March 2020. It started a similar measure again in April 2021 after a temporary resumption of the Tokyo-Taipei route.
