Nikkei Stock Average Rises More Than 1,100 Points During Trading Hours on Tuesday (Update 3)

Nikkei stock average rose more than 1,100 points during trading hours on Tuesday to surpass 38,000, the highest since January 1990.
The benchmark finished Tuesday trading at 37,963.97, up 1,066.55.
