Visitors walk along Asakusa’s iconic Nakamise Shopping Street in Taito Ward, Tokyo, on Saturday, the first weekend day following the end of the COVID-19 quasi-emergency measures that had been in place in 18 prefectures. The area around the shopping street and the Kaminarimon gate was again flooded with people, including tourists wearing kimono taking pictures and enjoying shopping.
