Chinese ships spotted near Senkakus for 2nd highest number of days in 2021

China Coast Guard vessels were seen in the contiguous zone off the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa Prefecture’s Ishigakijima on 332 days in 2021, the second-highest number of days since Japan nationalized the islands in 2012, according to the 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters in Naha.
A record 333 days were marked in 2020.
The ships operated in the zone for a record 157 consecutive days between February and July 2021.
