Urban garden engulfed by ‘sea of clouds’

An artificial mist hovers like a “sea of clouds” over the illuminated garden of a luxury hotel in Tokyo. Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo in Bunkyo Ward stages a three-minute-long event called “Tokyo Sea of Clouds” 36 times a day. A 10-minute-long version is also staged in early morning and late at night. As many as 1,000 lights amplify the event’s unworldly charm at the late night sessions. And in six sessions a day through the end of September, the mist is infused with mint. “We hope the event will prove refreshing for all five senses,” a hotel official said.
