OSAKA — A diver clad in a Santa Claus costume brought a festive mood to Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan in Minato Ward, Osaka, just ahead of the Christmas season. The diver was spotted swimming among the marine life, including the whale sharks and devilfish. The festive diver also waved to visitors and posed for photos from inside the tanks.
“I didn’t think I’d be able to enjoy Christmas as much this year. To think I’d see Santa here, of all places,” said a university senior visiting from Yokohama. The Santa diver is set to appear in a number of tanks at the aquarium three times a day through Dec. 25.
