Emperor Emeritus postpones visit to exhibition

The Emperor Emeritus’ visit to an exhibition in Tokyo on Thursday was postponed, as he appeared slightly tired, the Imperial Household Agency has announced.
The Emperor Emeritus is said to have been showing signs of fatigue since Tuesday, and canceled his daily walks Wednesday. According to the agency, he has no symptoms of illness and is not in need of medical treatment.
The agency will reschedule the Emperor Emeritus’ visit to the exhibition, titled the “Ryukyu: Special Exhibition Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Okinawa’s Reversion to Japan.” It is being held through June 26 at the Tokyo National Museum in Taito Ward, Tokyo.
