Ski jumper Sara Takanashi missed a medal in the women’s normal hill individual at the Beijing Winter Olympics on Saturday.
The 25-year-old athlete finished fourth with 224.1 points, 14.9 points behind gold medalist Ursa Bogataj of Slovenia.
Beijing marks Takanashi’s third Olympic appearance. The Hokkaido native finished fourth in her Olympic debut in the 2014 Sochi Games, where the first-ever Olympic women’s ski jumping competition was held. She landed the bronze medal in Pyeongchang four years ago.
