Record-breaking heat continued across Japan on Wednesday.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the temperature exceeded 35 C at 205 locations across the country as of 2:00 p.m. It measured 39.5 C in Hatoyama, Saitama Prefecture, 39.4 C in Isesaki, Gunma Prefecture and 39.2 C in Toyota, Aichi Prefecture as of 2:40 p.m.
