Japan’s Princess Hisako leaves for Qatar

Princess Hisako of Takamado departed Narita Airport on a private plane Saturday evening to visit Qatar.

As honorary president of the Japan Football Association, the princess is attending Japan’s matches against Costa Rica and Spain in the World Cup currently being hosted by the Arab country.

The princess will also visit the Japan national team’s training camp, among other places.

Princess Hisako is scheduled to return to Japan on Dec. 3.
