Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko attended a ceremony to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the administrative counselors system in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, on Thursday. There are about 5,000 administrative counselors across the nation, who without compensation respond to inquiries and complaints from citizens about national administrative actions.
“I strongly hope that the continuous efforts of administrative counselors nationwide will help maintain a safe society in which citizens can live with peace of mind,” Crown Prince Akishino said at the ceremony.
