Groot and other characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will appear in a special version of the long-running Tokyo Disneyland attraction officially named “it’s a small world,” the park’s operator Oriental Land Co. announced on Wednesday.
Running for a limited period from early in 2025, the mashup will be the first time that characters from Marvel Studios will appear in one of Tokyo Disney Resort’s attractions.
The attraction, which takes visitors on a boat ride through scenes from around the world, has been popular since the park’s opening.
In addition to Groot, Captain America and other Marvel characters are set to appear in the special version called “it’s a small world with Groot,” which will be open for about six months. In preparation for the special program, the regular version of the ride will temporarily close this autumn.
