Japanese, S. Korean foreign ministers agree to solve issue of requisitioned workers

Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi held talks with visiting South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin in Tokyo on Monday.
The two ministers agreed to solve the issue of former wartime requisitioned workers from the Korean Peninsula at an early date. The in-person meeting between Japanese and South Korean foreign ministers was held for the first time since South Korea’s new President Yoon Suk-yeol took office in May.
