Tourists gather in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima on Monday, the day after the end of the Group of Seven summit during which world leaders visited the park. Access to the park was restricted from Thursday afternoon to Sunday evening due to high security, but most of the 1.8-meter-tall fences set up around the park were removed after all G7-related events were over. Many tourists flocked to the park from early Monday morning, crowding around the Atomic Bomb Dome and the cenotaph for the victims of the atomic bomb. People also lined up early in front of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, waiting for the doors to open at 8:30 a.m.
