Ishiba, Trump Fail to Reach Tariff Agreement at G7; Ministerial-Level Talks will Continue

BANFF, KANANASKIS, Canada— Prime Minister Ishiba met with U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday in Kananaskis, Canada, where the Group of Seven summit is taking place. They discussed tariffs imposed by the U.S., but did not reach a final agreement.
However, the two leaders did agree to direct their ministers in charge of the matter to continue negotiations.
