SEOUL — Yuna Kim, the gold medalist in women’s figure skating at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, will marry a member of a South Korean vocal group in October, her management firm All That Sports said Monday.
Kim, 31, will tie the knot with singer Ko Woo-rim, a 27-year-old member of Forestella, which gained fame as winner of an audition program in 2017. The two first met at an ice skating show in 2018 and have been seeing each other for about three years, according to All That Sports.
Kim earned an extensive fan following in Japan as a top rival of popular Mao Asada, who she beat out for the gold in Vancouver. She retired from competitive skating after winning a silver medal at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
