Magnitude 4.8 Earthquake Hits Japan’s Noto Region of Ishikawa Pref. on Tuesday Evening

An earthquake with estimated magnitude of 4.8 occurred in the Noto area of Ishikawa Prefecture at 6:42 p.m. on Tuesday, measuring lower 5 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale in Shika, Ishikawa Prefecture, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
The epicenter was in the Noto area and the focus was about 10 kilometers deep.
