Typhoon No. 10 Forecast to Develop; Move into Pacific Ocean South of Japan on Aug. 26

A tropical depression off the Mariana Islands is forecast to develop into Typhoon No. 10 on Thursday morning, the Japan Meteorological Agency said Wednesday. It is expected to strengthen and move into the Pacific Ocean south of Japan by 9 a.m. on the 26th, so caution is advised.
The typhoon’s central pressure is forecast to be 985 hectopascals on Aug. 26, according to the JMA.
