WASHINGTON, Jan 14 (Reuters) – U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent met Japanese Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama on Monday and “emphasized the need for sound formulation and communication of monetary policy,” the U.S. Treasury Department said in a statement on Wednesday.
