Ukraine ambassador thanks Japan for support

Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi met with Ukrainian Ambassador Sergiy Korsunsky on Wednesday to inform the diplomat that Japan on Tuesday had sent bulletproof vests and other Self-Defense Forces equipment to the European nation.
“We will be happy if our support brings some assistance to Ukraine,” Kishi said.
In response, Korsunsky said that support from Japan was particularly valuable and has generated a great response at home.
