TV ratings for the World Cup match between Japan and Croatia averaged 34.6% for households and 20.2% for individuals in the Kanto region, according to a Tuesday announcement by Video Research.
Household viewership peaked at 38.3% at 1:48 a.m. and 1:51 a.m. Tuesday when the second half of additional time was about to end in a 1-1 tie. The game was broadcast by Fuji Television from late Monday night to early Tuesday morning.
