No Abnormalities in Power Plant in Niigata Pref. after Magnitude 6.0 Quake

A strong earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 6.0 struck Niigata Prefecture at 5:59 p.m. on Tuesday, registering lower 5 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture.
The prefecture is home to the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear power plant, but the Nuclear Regulation Authority said it found no abnormalities at the plant.
