Yukata-clad visitors look at colorful furin windchimes dangling from wooden frames at Kawagoe Hikawa Jinja, where the god of marriage is enshrined. About 1,500 artisanal furin, dubbed “wedlock windchimes,” can be heard ringing in the breeze in three precincts at the shrine in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture, through Sept. 4.
