Special rain warning issued for 6 Yamagata cities, towns

The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a special rain warning for three cities and three towns in Yamagata Prefecture at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The municipalities are Yonezawa City, Nanyo City, Nagai City, Takahata Town, Kawanishi Town and Iide Town.
The JMA is calling for the maximum caution as it is expected to be the heaviest rainfall that has ever been experienced in the region.
