OSAKA — Low-cost airline carrier Peach Aviation on Tuesday doled out peaches grown in Kinokawa, Wakayama Prefecture, to each of about 250 passengers who arrived at Kansai Airport, home to its headquarters.
Peach Aviation began this service in 2012, the year it embarked on its foray into the airline business, to coincide with the start of peach shipments. The carrier had hit pause on handing out peaches directly to passengers over the past two years because of the coronavirus pandemic.
