Mugs of beer are raised in a beer garden on the rooftop of the Suntory Holdings Ltd. head office building in Osaka on Saturday. With many closed over the past two years due to the pandemic, such beer gardens are now bustling with customers as the summer season gets off to an early start with a record-setting heatwave. While some measures remain in place to prevent the spread of infections, people are ready to get out again and cool off with an ice-cold beer. The Suntory beer garden opened this month for the first time in three years.
