Visitors take in lilies in full bloom at Samezu Irie Plaza in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, on Tuesday.
Local residents planted about 5,000 bulbs from Sakai, Fukui Prefecture, in the park by Katsushima Canal. The ward and the city have a cooperative relationship.
“I’ve never seen so many lilies in bloom,” said a woman in her 70s who came to the park with a friend.
