A strong earthquake off Ibaraki Prefecture rocked eastern Japan on Sunday, measuring lower 5 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in Fukushima Prefecture. There was no tsunami expected from the quake, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
