
Fishing boats depart from Utoro Port in Shari, Hokkaido, on Monday to search for people from a missing sightseeing boat.

A child who was found after a sightseeing boat went missing off Hokkaido has been confirmed dead, the Japan Coast Guard said Monday.
The child was reportedly found in waters off the tip of Cape Shiretoko on Monday morning. This brings to 11 the number of victims believed to have been passengers on the sightseeing boat.
