Riverboat tourists in Nagoya stay warm over the weekend with their legs under a kotatsu, a table with a heater underneath and a blanket to keep in the heat.
The about 8-meter-long boat has two kotatsu for up to four people each and is scheduled to operate mainly on Sundays through April.
The boat takes riders on a 25-minute round trip on the Horikawa river between the Nayabashi and Gojobashi bridges.
