A huge geoglyph of a tiger is seen inside Hitachi Seaside Park in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki Prefecture, on Thursday. Measuring 22 meters tall and 30 meters wide, the Chinese zodiac animal for 2022 can be viewed from the park’s Ferris wheel as it roars at the sky with its feet set firmly on the ground. Park visitors participated in making part of the geoglyph, which took about two weeks to complete using materials gathered in the park, such as pine cones, kochia summer cypress and timber from forest thinning. It can be viewed through Jan. 10.
