The seats won by each party in the 26th House of Councillors election, which was held Sunday, were finalized Monday morning. Final results: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) 63, Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDPJ) 17, Komeito 13, Nippon Ishin no Kai (Japan Innovation Party) 12, Japanese Communist Party (JCP) 4, Democratic Party for the People (DPFP) 5, Reiwa Shinsengumi 3, Social Democratic Party 1, NHK Party 1, Sanseito 1. 5 seats were won by independents.
