LDP-Komeito coalition to maintain controlling majority

The ruling Liberal Democratic Party and its junior coalition partner Komeito are set to maintain a controlling majority of at least 261 seats in Sunday’s House of Representatives election, which would enable them to chair all 17 standing committees in the lower house and comprise the majority of each committee.
