Twin Ferris Wheels Stand in Tokyo’s Yomiuriland Amusement Park

Yomiuriland is a popular amusement park located in suburban Tokyo. I visited the park in mid-October to see the “twin” Ferris wheels, one of which opened in 1980 and is scheduled to be decommissioned in January 2025. The other new wheel is due to open soon.
It was amazing to see two Ferris wheels standing side by side. I rode the current Ferris wheel twice that day. I had a wonderful time seeing Mt. Fuji from the wheel’s car.
Yomiuriland will kick off its annual illumination attraction “Jewellumination” on Oct. 24. A new Ferris wheel named Sky-Go-Land will also begin operating on that day. Until Jan. 13, visitors can ride both wheels.
