M5.3 quake strikes Fukushima Pref, reaches lower 5 in intensity

A strong earthquake measuring up to lower 5 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale from 0 to 7 struck Fukushima Prefecture on Tuesday.
The magnitude-5.3 quake measured lower 5 in Shirosato, Ibaraki Prefecture, 4 in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, Shirakawa, Fukushima Prefecture.
The Japan Meteorological Agency said the earthquake occurred at around 8:16 a.m. in Fuksushima, with the focus estimated to be at a depth of 90 kilometers.
