Tokyo logs 32,698 new COVID-19 cases

Tokyo confirmed 32,698 new cases of infection with the novel coronavirus on Saturday, a 70% rise from the same day the previous week, and the third consecutive day for the number of cases to exceed 30,000.
Aichi Prefecture reported 14,348 new cases, Chiba Prefecture logged 9,591 and Okinawa Prefecture confirmed 5,297, each logging a new daily high.
