Okinawa forecasts daily coronavirus daily tally to hit about 980

The Okinawa prefectural government said it expects the Thursday tally of new coronavirus infections to be about 980, which would be a record high for a single day. At a task force meeting on Thursday morning, the prefectural government formally decided to ask the central government to issue emergency-level priority measures for the prefecture.
