Tokyo, Okinawa log 3-month highs in virus cases, each over 100

Okinawa confirmed 130 new cases of infection with the novel coronavirus on Monday, the same day Tokyo announced it had confirmed 103 new cases.
The daily figure in Okinawa Prefecture was last over 100 on Sept. 25, when there were 115 new cases.
In Tokyo, it was the first time since Oct. 8 that the daily number has exceeded 100. The previous Monday, there were 35 new cases.
The seven-day moving average in Tokyo stands at 75.7 cases, up 96.1% from the 38.6 cases in the preceding seven-day period.
