3rd omicron case confirmed in Japan

A man in his 30s who had stayed in Italy has been confirmed to be infected with the omicron variant of the novel coronavirus, according to government sources.
The man tested positive at Haneda Airport on Wednesday. This is the third case of infection with the variant to be detected in Japan.
