SEOUL – North Korea launched a projectile toward the Sea of Japan on Saturday, the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said. In Tokyo, the Japanese Defense Ministry said Saturday afternoon that North Korea fired what appears to be a ballistic missile,
According to a senior Defense Ministry official, the projectile landed in waters outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone. No damage has been reported, the official said.
