Atmospheric instability is expected to continue on Wednesday in the Noto Peninsula, which suffered a massive earthquake on Jan. 1, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
Heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is forecasted in the region, with a possibility that it could develop to warning-level heavy rain.
The agency said, “The ground has loosened due to earthquakes and previous precipitation, and rain and melting snow will increase the risk of landslides, so please be vigilant.”
