Japan’s Nissan Motor to Cut Nearly 2,000 Jobs in U.S. Plants; Will Reduce U.S. Vehicle Production by About 25%

Nissan Motor Co. has begun final preparations to cut the number of employees working in plants and other manufacturing facilities in the United States, the automaker’s biggest market, by nearly 2,000 by the end of this year.
