WAJIMA, Ishikawa — A woman in her 80s who had been trapped under the first floor of a collapsed house was rescued by firefighters from Osaka at around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, 72 hours after the Jan. 1. Noto Peninsula Earthquake, in Wajima, Ishikawa Prefecture, according to Osaka City Fire Department.
The woman was conscious and sent to a hospital.
