The number of Self-Defense Forces personnel deployed to earthquake-stricken areas in the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture will be increased from about 2,000 to approximately 4,600 on Thursday. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida made the announcement at a press conference at the Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday morning.
